Thinking

« September 2007 | Main | November 2007 »

But...

... you're standing on my head.

Snowman

'But you're standing on my head Clara,' said Macy, 'and I'm not actually enjoying it.'

'Yes you are, so sshhh,' said Clara, as a few little fat creatures sat looking at them not really knowing whether to laugh or whether to run away very very quickly.'

Snowmanfront

Clara and Macy make a snowman - and it's very cute I think.

Snowmanside

Clara even has a carrot for a nose, a funny old hat and a hand knitted scarf.

Snowmanback

I think that Clara really does quite enjoy standing on Macy, and making a snowman is the perfect excuse. Of course this is what I've been teasing you all with - my Holiday Softie Awards entry. Go and take a peek at some of the other fabulous entries, they're really fun.

I've also entered these...

Puddings1

Two little fat christmas puddings perfect for hanging on your christmas tree. One's a fattie and the other is a flattie.

Puddings2

Wish me luck! And also lets hope that Clara doesn't actually squash Macy too much otherwise her Robin costume for next year just won't fit.

Whirlwind

That is my life at the moment. A whirlwind. And if I'm not careful and keep spinning with it, I have a feeling that I will be thrown out into a field somewhere. Alas, it seems that I am always too busy for the spinning of my whirlwind to go at a gentle pace. But I don't mind too much, I just keep saying to myself - next year I'll have more time. I'm not really sure where this time will come from, I think I'm hoping that by 2008 someone may have invented the 30 hour day. Or even better the five day weekend and two day week. Oh yes that does sound good!

But I'm still happy, and please may I just say a big...

THANK YOU A LOT AND VERY MUCH

... to everyone who left me such beautiful comments about our invitations. You know I think I can always rely on you lovely people to brighten my day, so thank you x

I'm not sure if I mentioned that I'm doing a craft fair next weekend. Oh yes, and suprisingly I'm not at all ready. So if anyone fancies coming to see some Cupcakes for Clara goodies, I'll be at the Substance Altrincham Craft Market on November 2nd and 3rd. I think there are some details here.

Alongside attempting to make craft fair loveliness I've been working on a couple of toy orders...

Have a happy weekend all x

Invitiation overload

Invites5

They're finished, they're finished, they're finished! I feel as though I should be skipping around in circles whooping loudly with joy - which I am, mentally, but not physically because I'm in the library and people may think that I'm actually a crazy person.

We sent them out on Monday, and are already starting to get replies, although not so many guests seem as impressed at our pop-up invites as we are. Hmmph! What do you think?

Rest.

And have a nice cup of tea.

Vincent says 'plush you'

Toys3

Look who's at Plush You! Vincent, Bonnie and Rupert are all exhibiting at Nancy as part of Plush You. They would love you to pop over and say hello. Of course they may be showing off their behinds when you get there.

Toysthreeback

Each cheeky little softie comes packaged up in a lovely cotton bag...

Toybags

But if you like the look of these softies but can't make it to the Plush You exhibition, don't worry Vincent has found his way into the shop. I'm not sure how he got there because an octopus can't really walk, and my shop isn't of the underwater variety. Maybe he did a funny kind of hopping tentacle dance?!

Vincent3

He is a cutie, and I love him!

Vincent1

He's quite shy though so he'll need to be cuddled a lot. Oh, and his tentacles are moveable.

Vincent

I've also added another very sweet cupcake keyring.

Keyring

Vincent and his girly keyring can be found here

posters

Just a little note to let you know that I won't be sending out the Cupcakes for Clara posters until the end of next week because of the postal strikes. Darn those posties with red vans, I don't think Postman Pat ever went on strike.

If anyone wants one but was too polite to ask, don't worry it's not too late - just shout at me and I'll get one to you.

Boo

Invitation update - we're getting through the castles, have attached all of the bases to the cards, my lovely mum and grandma have sewn on all of the buttons and ribbon, and we're not quite crossed eyed yet. More soon!

Back to proper business next week - fingers crossed.
