Phew! I'm back! What a month it has been. Well, first things first... Happy New Year! A little late I know but the meaning is still there. Big apologies for my absence, we've been rather swamped recently.
Beginning at the beginning...
We had a really lovely Christmas. Lots of family and friends and relaxing.
And Matilda particularly enjoyed the sack I made for her!
But New Year was not so fun. We spent most of it in hospital with the little miss. She had been getting increasingly poorly from what turns out to be a couple of pretty sensitive allergies. She is allergic to dairy - well actually it's the milk protein. And soya, and possibly eggs. The most confusing thing is she has never actually had any of these things. She is allergic to even the tiny amounts that are crossing through in the breastmilk. But I've cut all of those things out and so far she is definitely improving. Even enough to enjoy her new toy...
But then rotten luck, we've all come down with a horrid virus that has just been so yucky. Ah well it'll be over soon I'm sure!
Inbetween all the poorliness I have been frantically trying to finish lots of Christmas puddings for a special project. And because they took me so long to make I shall honour them with another photo!
Okay... time to go and wipe noses, administer calpol, re-rub snufflebabe, make hot lemon and honey drinks, re-fill the hot water bottles, and snuggle the poorly babe.
